Active Learning Believe & Inspire
Active Learning Believe & Inspire (ALBI) was created as a non-profit organization as an offshoot of Active Learning (AL). Active Learning has served the Santa Ana Community for over 18 years providing arts enrichment education for SAUSD during the school day and after-school. ALBI was founded in response to the need to provide arts enrichment at no cost to youth. After working for years with low income families in the schools, it became evident that the schools cannot serve all children in need of additional guidance and enrichment activities.
REVIVE: SANTA ANA
Mission: Our Mission is to provide high quality arts education to underserved public schools and communities.
Goal: Our goal is to provide sustainable and comprehensive education in visual and performing arts through technical workshops, academic integration, cultural diversity and professional development to enrich and enhance learning.
Programs & Services: We partner with school districts and organizations to promote arts education throughout Orange County and Los Angeles.
Community: We expand opportunities for artists to showcase their talents throughout the community, by actively participating and sponsoring events.
ALBI was fortunate in receiving a grant from the City of Santa Ana, REVIVE, to provide youth violence prevention through our Arts-Based Mindfulness program. Our program implements primary prevention strategies on youth violence, using multi systematic approaches in early childhood support for teachers, families and children. Young children participate in arts-based activities that combine social emotional learning (SEL), mindfulness and yoga, while teachers and families are equipped with the tools to sustain healthy behaviors for a lifetime.
